    History

The photographic collection of the Fondazione Carisbo, an archival and not a marketing source, gives the original name: “the Officine meccaniche di precisione Gozzoli & Petroncini start up in 1919 in Bologna, at Mura di S. Isaia 9.” Ruggero Petroncini then opened his own establishment at Via Emilia Ponente 32 “developing the convection roasting method,” and it was in 1938 that Giovanni Gozzoli registered the trademark “Officine Vittoria.” A 1955 “Vittoria Gozzoli,” 30 kg, was still running in 2010 with its original refractory structure, according to a roaster on a forum.

In 1983 the company was still training technicians: Daniele Bottoni joined as an installer before founding his own workshop in Ferrara twenty years later. After 1983, nothing is verified. The brand's domains serve only a parking page, an Instagram account announces “la storia continua, since 1917,” contradicting the archive, and used Vittoria drums circulate.

    What it makes

Artisanal and semi-industrial drums. The principle is documented only in the negative: Gozzoli did not defend convection.

    The models

    No verifiable range.

    What you gain

A refractory construction that has lasted fifty-five years, if a forum testimony is to be believed.

    What you lose

Nothing more can be written without manufacturer documentation.

Gray areaEnd of activity after 1983 not verified; catalog and capacities unknown; the 1917 date on the Instagram account contradicts the archive.
