    History

Nothing to do with Fábrica Coffee Roasters, the café-roastery in Lisbon: same name, different country, different trade, and it is the +90 dialing code that settles it. Year of founding not published.

Yet it is the Turkish maker that documents its heating mode best, range by range, and that is what earns it a profile: gas or electric from 1 to 22 kg, a gas premix burner on the 30 and 60 kg, and from 90 kg a switch to hot air, “Premix Burner Hot Air Roasting.” A precise technical fact, rare in this documentation.

    What it makes

Gas or electric drums up to 22 kg, with a premix burner up to 65 kg, then hot-air convection beyond; afterburner, fully electric electrostatic filter from 1 to 60 kg, destoner.

    The models

    • Coffeum Cr1: Cr2, Cr3 (1 to 3.3 kg
    • Lion Cr6: Cr10, Cr15, Cr20 (7 to 22 kg
    • Lion Cr30: 6 to 33 kg), Cr60 (15 to 65), Cr90 (20 to 100), Cr120 (30 to 130), Cr180 (50 to 180), Cr240 (80 to 240

The industrial models state a range, and therefore a minimum load

    What you gain

Above 90 kg, the heat carried by the air gives an even rise on a large load, less surface scorching, shorter cycles and more responsive control, since cutting the hot air acts faster than cooling a mass of metal. The electrostatic filter avoids burning gas to treat the fumes.

    What you lose

Pure convection is sensitive to bed density and consumes fan power. No chronology, no founding date published.
