Dutch Master Roasters
Production drums, Duiven, Netherlands.
History
Founded in 2019 by Sander Bussink and Clemens te Pas, commercially launched in May 2021 with the DMR 15-A. The name Bussink rings a bell: it is the family behind Bussink Machinery International, in Doetinchem, which has sold and serviced roasters for more than twenty-five years without building any. Dutch Master Roasters appears to be the industrial arm of an already established commercial network, a rare advantage for a young manufacturer.
The range announced in 2021 went from 1 to 70 kg; the 2026 catalog has only two models left. This is a signal to watch, not a judgment.
What it makes
Classic gas drums, external cyclone, variable-speed fans and motors, reinforced insulation, tablet control. Direct or indirect flame: not specified by the manufacturer.
The models
DMR5-A (2 to 5 kg, 25 kW) and DMR15-A (3 to 15 kg, 60 kW). The DMR 1, 35 and 70 announced in 2021 no longer appear in the catalog.
What you gain
A gas drum has high power and a behavior that every professional knows: the learning curve is short, and the family network provides service.
What you lose
The differentiation is mechanical and software-based, not in the heating mode: the machine is judged on its execution, not on a technical breakthrough. Gas carries energy costs and requires a connection.
