Zonal bulletin of Ecuador's Ministry of Agriculture (SIPA), September 2020, based on the INEC 2000 agricultural census and the INEC-MAG 2014 survey: coffee was the leading crop by area in 2000 (84% of the area of the five main crops, read from the chart: 1,669 ha) and remains the leading one in 2014 (723 ha according to the chart), the agricultural zone covering 19,010 ha. The text speaks of a 16% decline whereas the chart shows a larger one: unresolved discrepancy. Area only, no tonnage found.
