    Write to the author

A question, an error you spotted, a source credited wrongly, an image whose rights you hold: this form goes straight to my inbox. No address is displayed on this site, and no third-party service receives your message, it goes through this server and stops there.

It is stored on the server that hosts this site, at the author's, and is flagged to him. Nothing is passed on to a sending provider, an ad network or an analytics service. Your address is used only to reply to you: it is entered on no list, goes nowhere, and you can request its deletion in the same claim.

The form sets no cookies and loads no external script. An invisible field, which your browser does not show you, serves to keep out the robots that fill in forms automatically; it does not concern you. The number of messages is limited per address and per hour, for the same reason.

02Reporting a source, an image or an error

Form hosted by the author; no third-party service

This site cites its sources sentence by sentence and documents the provenance of each image on a dedicated page, with its license. If you believe a work belongs to you and that it is wrongly credited, wrongly licensed, or that it should not be here, write it here: the request will be handled within seventy-two hours, and removal or correction is not up for discussion. If possible, specify the page concerned and what needs to be corrected.

Substantive errors are just as welcome. A corrected plate is worth more than a flattering plate: if a datum is wrong, outdated, or if a source says something other than what it is made to say, the correction will be made and the source updated.

This site is published and hosted on a personal, non-commercial basis by the author of the texts, Marco De Sousa Rosa. The texts of the plates are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 license. The tools and their code remain all rights reserved. Not all the images are the author's: each keeps its own license, indicated on the provenance page.

The author also writes elsewhere: LinkedIn, Instagram.
